How to Set Up DKIM for Pardot?

Including DKIM records in your domain improves the authenticity of your emails and reduces the probability of spam emails in your inbox. You will have to add the DKIM records in the form of TXT DNS records which are provided for your domain by the host.

Generating DomainKeys in Pardot:

  • Click on Admin and then Domain Management in Pardot.

  • Click on +Add New Domain.

  • Click on Expected DNS Entries.

  • Copy the DKIM key pair to the clipboard.

Publishing the records in DNS:

Now that we have obtained the DNS record for DKIM, we will have to publish the record through DNS. To publish the record, follow these steps:

  • Log in to your DNS management console

  • Create a TXT record in your DNS with the title : <selector>._domainkey.<yourdomainname.com> for example: s1._domainkey.domain.com

  • In the section allotted for the TXT record value, paste the copied contents of the DKIM public key (The steps to obtain the DKIM key pair are mentioned above)

  • Click Save.

  • Lookup and validate the published DKIM DNS record using this free DKIM record lookup tool
