How to Set up DKIM for Hypernode (owned by Byte)?

DKIM enables organizations to take ownership of their email marketing campaigns. It’s a trusted way to combat spam and phishing and add authentication to messages, proving the authenticity of the message, and the identity of the sender.

Activating DKIM for Hypernode (by Byte)

If you have your domain hosted at Hypernode, the process for activating DKIM is as follows:

  • Log in to your Hypernode Service Panel.
  • Select the domain for which you want to activate DKIM.
  • Navigate to the Instellingen tab and click on E-mail.
  • Find the option to configure DKIM.
  • This will open up a page for DKIM, here you can activate DKIM by clicking the Activeer button.

You won’t have to set up the protocol manual as the rest of actions are handled in the background by Hypernode support, including signing your outbound emails and publishing the DKIM public key on your DNS. The process of activation can take up to 4 hours.

If your domain is not hosted at Hypernode, and is hosted somewhere else:

  • Log in to your Hypernode Service Panel.
  • Select the domain for which you want to activate DKIM.
  • Navigate to the Instellingen tab and click on E-mail.
  • Find the option to configure DKIM.
  • This will open up a page for DKIM, click on the Activeer button.
  • You will get a TXT record that you need to publish on your DNS on your own (the DKIM public key)

To access your DNS please contact your DNS provider. Create a record of type TXT, TTL: 1 hr. Copy and paste the hostname in the Host/Name field and the corresponding record value in the Value field. Save your record and allow your DNS a few hours to process the changes.
