DKIM is a way for your mail to be verified and trusted. It's a great way to avoid spam and phishing by assuring your receiver that the email you have sent has been signed with your Domain's private key, which in turn belongs to you. Simply.com supports and recommends DKIM signing for your outbound messages.
Setting Up DKIM for Simply.com
DKIM is automatically enabled for you if you use Simply.com’s internal domains and email servers to send your outbound emails, which include: smtp.simply.com, smtp.simply.com, and their webmail. Simply.com have their domains preconfigured with the following DKIM TXT record:
unoeuro._domainkey CNAME dkim.simply.com
In this scenario no manual setup is necessary.
However, if you are using your own domains to send emails relayed via Simply.com, you need to manually configure your record by following these steps:
Step 1: Generate your DKIM key pair using our free DKIM record generator tool.
Step 2: Publish your DKIM public key for Simply.com on your DNS
After you get your public key:
- Login to your DNS provider’s management console as the admin
- Navigate to the DNS records section for your individual domains
- Create a TXT record
- Copy and paste the hostname and value
- Save changes to your record and wait for 48-72 hours for your DNS to process these changes
