How to Set Up DKIM for Emarsys?

DKIM (Domain Keys Identified Mail) is an email authentication method that allows the recipient to verify that an email was sent and authorized by the domain's owner. This is accomplished by adding a digital signature to the email. This DKIM signature is an encryption-protected header that is applied to the email.

This document guides you to set up DKIM for Emarsys.

Creating Public and Private keys for DKIM signature for Emarsys:

  • First, create the DKIM public and private keys for your domain.

  • To do so, you can use our free DKIM record generator tool to generate a DKIM record for your domain instantly. Enter your domain name, choose a DKIM selector, and hit the generate record button.

  • After creating your custom DKIM key pair, provide your private key to Emarsys Support for them to include it in their DKIM signer.

Example of DKIM public key:

To be published selector1._domainkey.mail.domain.com subdomain

DKIM Record value: v=DKIM1; k=rsa; p=MIGf…

Note: Replace the domain name, DKIM selector, and record value with those generated for your domain.

  • Contact your DNS administrator to publish the public key of your DKIM record on your public-facing DNS

  • Be sure to add DKIM records separately for each of your registered domains, and not publish multiple records for a single domain as it invalidates the protocol

  • When done, contact Emarsys support to add your domains for signing. This would ensure that whenever Emarsys email servers send emails to your clients from your domain, these outgoing emails are signed with DKIM and authenticated.

After setting up DKIM for Emarsys you can check your record using our DKIM record checker. Enable DMARC for your domain by taking a free DMARC trial today.
