DomainKeys Identified Mail is a technology that allows an organization to take responsibility for a message, as opposed to it being anonymous. It uses cryptographic signatures as proof of authentication. Advantages of DKIM include its ability to ensure that the content has not been tampered with, the signing of the identity of the author, and its resistance to email pre-filtering techniques which often drop or reorder messages from unknown senders.
HostGator extends support to DKIM email authentication, using cPanel version 11.32. The steps are given below:
Creating DKIM record using HostGator Control Panel
Log in to your HostGator cPanel
Navigate to Email > Email Deliverability
You will find all your registered domains on HostGator. Click on the “Manage” button adjacent to the domain of your choice.
You will be redirected to a fresh page that contains your DKIM TXT records. Note that the screenshot attached below is only an example. This section will vary for every user. Click on the Install the Suggested Record button at the bottom of the page.
