Domain Keys Identified Mail (DKIM) is a technique used to verify the authenticity of an email message. This enables you to trust that an email was sent from your business and has not been tampered with along the way. DKIM adds a signature to your outgoing email messages so recipients know your email can be trusted.
ProtonMail recommends that you configure DKIM for your domain as it helps you protect your information even in case of forwarded email messages.
