In SPF email authentication, a TXT record published in the DNS on your domain is used to check if a new email message that reaches your recipient’s email server comes from an authorized sending source. In order to allow SPF authentication to pass for emails that you send via Namecheap, you need to add an SPF record to Namecheap.
Steps for Namecheap SPF Setup
In order to add an SPF record in Namecheap, follow these steps:
Generate an SPF record using our free SPF record generator
Log in to your Namecheap account
On your namecheap’s control panel navigate to Domain List
Click on Manage for the domain of your choice
Click on Advanced DNS, the DNS management page will open up
On the page click on Add New Record
Use the instructions given below to publish your record:
Record Type: TXT
Hostname: @
Record value: The value of SPF record that you generated (e.g. v=spf1 include:spf.domain.com -all)
Click on Save All Changes
