What is a User Access Template?

This feature allows the Main User of the account to create specific user resources or privileges as a template then they can be applied to multiple users. 

1. End User Navigation

  • Navigate to Setup → User Access Template

 

  • Users will then be able to see this page 

  • Click on the “Add New” button


  • Input Name and select the Resources by clicking on the radio buttons
  • Enabled radio button means that the selected resource will be available for the user while disabled means that the selected resource will be excluded and user will not have access to it 
  • Once done click on the “Create” button at the bottom left of the page


  • Once the template is created, you should be able to see it in the User Access Template page

  • You can apply this recently created template on your users during creating/editing the user. 

  • Just click on the status of the template and scroll down to the bottom and click on add.


2. MSSP User Access Template

  • Navigate to Administration → Resource Groups

 

  • Users will then be able to see this page 

  • Click on the “Add New” button

  • Input Name and select the Resources
  • Enabled radio button means that the selected resource will be available for the user while disabled means that the selected resource will be excluded and user will not have access to it 
  • When Default for Users toggle is ON the users will be able to see newly created resource groups on their account on the “User Access template” page,  without opportunity to edit it.

The Main User will be able to apply the resource group created by MSSP on their users during creating/editing the user if the Resource group toggle is ON.

  • Once done click on create at the bottom left of the page

  • Once the template is created, you should be able to see it in the User Access Template

  • You can apply this recently created template on your users during creating/editing the user. 

  • Just click on the status of the template and scroll down to the bottom and click on add.
