The SPF analytics and Diagnostics tabs are key features within our Hosted SPF (PowerSPF) service, allowing domain owners to gain a comprehensive overview of their authorized senders and SPF-related errors.
SPF Analytics

The SPF Analytics tab allows the user to view how many emails are being sent out per authorized source or IPs. They can filter results according to the date range and desired domain to fetch the data. Moreover, filtered data from the HostedSPF Analytics page can be exported as a CSV file.
Key Benefits
- Monitor Email Volume by Source – View the number of emails sent per authorized source or IP within a selected date range and domain.
- Identify Unused Third-Party Senders or IPs – Easily detect third-party email sources and IPs that were once authorized but are no longer in use.
- Streamline SPF Records – By reviewing the last 6 months of data, you can pinpoint inactive sources and safely remove them from your SPF record.
- Enhance Security & Deliverability – Removing outdated senders reduces security risks and helps keep your SPF record optimized for better email deliverability.
- Export Filtered Data – Download SPF Analytics results as a CSV file for further review and reporting.
Per-IP Visibility in PowerSPF Analytics
PowerSPF Analytics provides visibility into email sending behavior by allowing analysis at both the mechanism and individual IP level. In addition to mechanism-centric insights, the platform enables drilling down into per-IP email volumes, even when those IPs are part of ranges or included through include statements.
Mechanism view provides a grouped, high-level perspective based on SPF mechanisms such as include, ip4, and ip6, helping you understand which authorized services or sources are responsible for sending emails on behalf of your domain and how much volume each contributes. It also allows you to expand each sending service to view the underlying IPs associated with it, offering additional visibility into the nested IP sources behind each mechanism.

The IP view provides a more granular breakdown by displaying individual sending IP addresses in a flattened list, even when they originate from SPF ranges or include statements. This makes it easier to pinpoint exact sending sources, review their associated mechanisms, and analyze their contribution to overall email traffic for troubleshooting and optimization.

SPF Diagnostics
The SPF Diagnostics tab displays issues detected for a domain in its SPF record, along with detailed recommendations for solving each issue. Enabling PowerSPF itself is a solution to the majority of SPF-related issues!
Given below is an example of how errors detected by Hosted SPF may be displayed in the Diagnostics tab:

The findings are segregated into:
Issue: Description of the SPF issue detected
Fixed: Status of issue resolution (yes/no)
Type: Type of issue detected
Occurred date: Date of occurrence of the particular issue
Resolved date: Date of resolution of the particular issue
Actions: Detailed recommendations for fixing the issue
On clicking the View button under “Actions”, users can access detailed recommendations on steps to take to resolve the issues detected in their SPF implementation.

This capability supports more accurate troubleshooting and optimization of SPF configurations by improving visibility into how individual sending sources contribute to overall authentication results.
